Solo games, practice, the tour and private games with friends are free and need no wallet.
What a challenge is
A challenge is a peer-to-peer agreement between two players. Each deposits the same amount of EGLD into the Nova Dunk challenge smart contract on MultiversX (https://explorer.multiversx.com/accounts/erd1qqqqqqqqqqqqqpgqh40f39ugsfk5ghdavqesghcj25jhxmlvuz4qlt3k05). Deposits are held by that contract, not in a Nova Dunk account, and no one at Nova Dunk can withdraw them.
How the winner is decided
The Nova Dunk game server runs the match and reports the winner to the contract. Its result is final. Leaving a match can forfeit it after a 30-second reconnect window. If no fair result is possible (both players leave, a tie, or the play window runs out) the server returns both deposits; if it cannot, each player can reclaim their own deposit after the deadline.
Fees
Nova Dunk takes no fee: the winner receives the whole pot. If a fee is introduced for new challenges, it is fixed when a challenge is created (at most 10%) and shown before you deposit. Each wallet pays its own network (gas) fees.
Your amount, your risk
There is no maximum stake. You choose the amount and you accept all risks, including losing your deposit, game or server errors and outages, disconnections, wallet or network problems, smart-contract risk and changes in the value of EGLD. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.
Who can play for tokens
You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if higher. You are responsible for making sure playing games of skill for tokens is legal where you are, and for any taxes. Do not use challenges where they are prohibited.
Free prizes
Nova Dunk may fund EGLD prizes that anyone 18 or older can try to win for free: no purchase, deposit or fee is needed. A try is one match against computer-controlled players at the prize’s level. Winning by any margin wins the prize; a tie or a loss does not. Leaving the match ends the try; if your connection drops, you have 30 seconds to rejoin. Each wallet gets one try per level per UTC day, and one player at a time can try a given prize. A try interrupted by a server restart is given back. Prizes are held in the prize smart contract (https://explorer.multiversx.com/accounts/erd1qqqqqqqqqqqqqpgq29zj7qeg6kccd873lckw23sggdpvrwmmuz4qjfgxea) and paid by it to the winning wallet; Nova Dunk can take back only a prize nobody won, after its end date. Using several wallets or automation to get extra tries is not allowed. Winners are responsible for any taxes. Void where prohibited.
Fair play
One person per wallet. No cheating, automation, collusion, sharing accounts or exploiting bugs. We may refuse game service to wallets that break these rules; the contract stays open to everyone.
No warranty
The game, server and contract are provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Nova Dunk is not liable for lost deposits, missed payouts or indirect losses. These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable law.
Use respectful nicknames. Do not harass, cheat, exploit bugs, impersonate others or disrupt the service. Abusive accounts or connections may be restricted. Contact support@novadunk.com to report problems.
